Always Ngunyah craved sweets so where we going? We went to Fat Bubble at Cilandak Town Square, South Jakarta. Before during their grand opening at Cilandak Town Square, we received a 200.000 rupiahs voucher, visit the the place to use it.

What we ordered:

Thai Milk Tea (M) 18K + Bubble (topping) 3K : Kinda disappointed of the drink, for this drink it doesn't have the taste of the Thai milk, they just put sugar and milk even the milk is tasteless. The bubble was good its chewy and soft so extra credit for that.

  

Matcha Milk Tea (M) 19K : The taste of green tea wasn't that strong not like the taste of a real matcha. But it is still a refreshing start to drink this. 

Pepperoni Pizza

to the pizza lover hands up! okay so this is the Pepperoni Pizza (50K) : The Pizza was delicious it was good, the pizza was so cheesy and the crust was thin, and added pepperoni top of it. It's is a recommended menu in Fat Bubble

Ice Series A1 (38 K) : Toppings are Bubble, Mochi, Chocolate Pudding, Ice Cream Chocolate and Chocolate Powder. Chocolate lover recommend this one the pudding taste so soft as silk, it is full of chocolate and full of sweetness. 

Grass Jelly Series A4 (39K) : For this the toppings are Grass Jelly, Bubble, Mochi and Match Ice Cream. This one is way better then the drinks, when we mixed all of them together it taste way better, but the matcha ice cream taste not as an ordinary match should be but, if we visit this place again we would love to order this again.

Genki Sushi, Central Park, West Jakarta

Always Ngunyah next trip is hunting sushi! So our destination is Genki Sushi at Central Park Mall, Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta this sushi place located at UG Floor, next to SOGO. We went in with warm greetings from the waitresses, the place is very nice, and fresh.

Let me tell you this place is really high tech it is so modern, you know why?
All the menu is in an app which is inside a tablet, you could click any menu that you like, by clicking it and press confirm the list of food will automatically connect to the kitchen where they cook it. then what happen? a high speed bullet train deliver your orders to you directly.

The Beef Roll Cheese was the best sushi, love it how they sauced the beef and combined it with cheese above it made it more delicious.

Overall the food was great and also fresh, the price is not that expensive each of them cost 20.000-ish like the Seared Egg, Seared Kanikama, Salmon Belly, the entire meal cost about 300.000 IDR this is already include ocha but it is a worth a try. We didn't regret spent our money eating in this good restaurant because we were satisfied of how the taste is.

Ichiban Sushi, Mall Bellevue Cinere, Depok

    Always Ngunyah goes to Ichiban Sushi! That time we were starving and don't know where to eat so we went to a Mall called Mall Bellevue Cinere because it was the closest mall from where we were. The mall itself is not like any other fancy mall is like another version of Cinere Mall in Depok or maybe Poins Square in Lebak Bulus, if you been there. 

   We didn't know what resto should we eat then we went to the Upper Ground floor where all food is. First we were thinking to eat in Carl's Junior but then when we try to pass by Ichiban Sushi, a waitress showed us their menu and first what we saw was the price it is affordable and I'm a sushi lover. so we give a shot and went inside.

What we ordered:

Chicken Katsu Curry Donburi IDR 27 : This dish was okay maybe because of its affordable price. I thought they would put a lot more of curry on it but too bad not as expectation. the portion was big just like any kind of rice bowl. the chicken katsu was well cooked and also crispy.

Katsu Hotplate Ramen IDR 28 : The sauce was amazingly good, tasting was just right on the tongue. They us noodle ramen for this dish and on it they put chicken katsu. the chicken katsu was crispy and when you dip it in the sauce, delicious!

Chicken Katsu Rice: It was pretty disappointing to see the presentation of this dish. because by looking of the appearance it looks cheap (well it is inexpensive but you know what I mean right?). The katsu was similar to the other katsu that we ordered, from the texture, the taste, and crispiness! The salad was just like ordinary salad but overall it was good to eat when you are starving because the portion of it is a right amount.

The Fish Cake Roll IDR 24: We were really surprise when we saw the price of this sushi its so cheap for an eight pieces of sushi, so cheap!   Inside the sushi was just egg and fish cake so, nothing special about it... But the sauce + a bit of caviar on top was really good.

Sushi Groove, Mall Taman Anggrek, West Jakarta

Always Ngunyah next culinary trip is Sushi Groove, hands up if you are a sushi lover because we are! This place is located at Mall Taman Anggrek, West Jakarta. Sushi Groove have 7 branch in Jakarta. The place has its own main color resto which is green.

Salmon Mentaiko Inari IDR 35

The Salmon Mentaiko Inari - an Inari which is also called an Aburaage or a tofu skin that is deep fried, and used in many forms in Japanese cuisine.  It has a slightly a spongy texture. The Inari is filled with rice and Mentaiko sauce. Mentaiko is marinated pollock roe and is a popular ingredient in Japanese cuisine. Above it they add a touched of salmon and also fresh cucumber. 

Tobiko Gunkan IDR 33

Tobiko Gunkan -  Tobiko is the Japanese word for the flying fish roe and Gunkan means "warship sushi" or a "battleship roll". Why do they call it gunkan because of the sushi shape that look like a ship, filled with lots of Tobiko. 
When we bite the eggs you could feel the crunchy texture and a mild/salty taste. 

Krakatau Roll IDR 49

Always Ngunyah's favorite sushi is the Krakatau Roll. This is a fried sushi which is filled with veggie and salmon; sauce dressing atop of it.

Toodz House, Cipete Raya Street, South Jakarta

Always Ngunyah is going to share a culinary trip yo all the readers who is reading this. We went to a unique cafe called Toodz House, which is located at Cipete Raya Street, South Jakarta. We bet many of you heard about this place because, of its affordable price, delicious food, sweet dessert and comfy place that made people to give  a try of this cafe.

About the Interior design Its a cozy place to chill and hangout with some friends. The cafe is small so, I recommend to visit this place during the weekdays because during the weekend and lunch time this place is always full.

What we ordered: 

Fettuccine Carbonara IDR 37 - cream sauce carbonara + smokef beef + garlic bread. The fettuccine was good do like it, the combination was tasteful. Pretty satisfy for a small cafe and an affordable price. 

Their famous Carbonara Rice IDR 36.5 its creamy and tasty, cream sauce with chicken katsu above it. We really recommended this for creamy sauce lovers! The level of the creaminess of the carbonara rice is just right. But one problem of this dish is the portion was a bit small. 

For the dessert we ordered Chocolate Lava Cake IDR 31 with 2 scoop Ice cream (chocolate and vanilla). When we divided/ cut the cake, the chocolate inside melted lightly, till it touches the surface of the plate. Its good to have dessert after eating.

For the drinks we ordered:

Peach Black Tea IDR 25

Could taste the peach flavor and the sweetness of the tea is balance not too sweet and not too bitter. 

French Vanilla Tea IDR 25

Could smell the aroma of the vanilla but it doesn't have enough sweet in this drink. 

P.S: the price of the menu already include tax and service charge. So no need to divide the tax  and service and count them with your friends
